The Hague overview

The Hague Travel Guide
Most Netherlands-bound tourists favour the capital, Amsterdam, over The Hague; the administrative Dutch centre. It is home to government and the Queen and sits down towards the south of the country on the coast, sort of between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. It is Holland’s third largest city, yet is the most important and boasts a ton of international courts and other semi-impressive statistic. The Hague doesn’t really have the allure of the other main Dutch centres, however; its streets are wider, there are no canals, and the people tend to scurry about. Nearby Scheveningen Beach is a top tourist sight, as is The Hague’s slightly pretentious Baroque architecture. Rotterdam International Airport is the main point of entry, with a direct rail line to The Hague.
